Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response towards DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
